Don weather still looks good. We usually go... Debs fussy about bringing her bird if storm chances are probable. My 84 GP needs paint anyway so I dont worry too much about weather.
One or both cars will be there. Look forward to seeing you. Last good weather cruise had @700 cars come thru. |

I went about a month ago and they ran out of room to park. We are about 60 miles south of Murfreesboro and go about once a month.

Well, aside from it being in the high 90's our plan is to make it friday, of course work and weather dependant, which is why i can't truly commit 100% nor get my hopes up, one of those two usually hinders us I gotta say i miss the cruise ins from back home we used to get 2000+ cars/bikes at the hang outs back on Long Island as i used to tell everyone, every 69Z28 camaro that was made was there lol |

...But the 'boro has variety and you never know who or what might show up. Besides 5-700 cars is plenty. I see a few clouds today... if its goin to rain, hope its today. (My lawn already looks like August is here.) Forecast isnt showing any storms so I figure at worst a "pop-up" shower. fwiw...I was up in Tug Hill region last week low-mid 80's and far more uncomfortable than the high 90's here...felt like a steam bath. Humidity up there is rediculous. |

Maybe someday I'll arrange an invite for Italian food at my place... I used to be married to an Italian family in the restaurant business. I do Italian food quite well. Oh, about 2 miles SE(down Medical parkway at intersection of US41) of the cruise there is a place called Toots... excellent wings,(I'm originally from Buffalo area and know good wings) catfish, burgers, ribs, pulled pork, frog legs, etc.. Excellent and very affordable! Culvers in front of the cruise has great burgers and fries. IIRC there is both a Macaroni Grill and a Chili's in front of the shopping center(Avenue) as well. |

Steve Puleo has something going on there. It's motto: "Southern roots with Italian heritage". 730 NW Broad St Murfreesboro, TN 37129 (615) 867-3312 http://www.puleosgrille.com He's out of the same bunch that started Grady's, Parkside and West Side Taverns, but actually they all come from Regas Restaurant, the family Dave Thomas started his career when he was about 13. Not Italian, but the slogan states what you'll get. Excellent quality food. |

I "lived" real homemade Italian for alot of years... Big difference from restaurant Italian. And recipes are similar but different family to family. 20+ years living in a predominantly Italian community(Rome NY) you find these differences out. Christmas eve you find some real variety based around sea food/fish.(Grew up in Buffalo area and lots of good Italian food there as well) Fortunately I got to learn the "old way" of making sauces and preparing everything.(My ex's "Nona" taught me a few things before she passed. She used to chase my ex out of her kitchen lol) Way too much work to make that kind of "Italian" in a restaurant.(Also learned the restaurant way in my former father-in-laws place. You can get pretty close but its just not the same as starting with fresh tomato, onion, garlic etc..) So I usually make my own Italian food. Hard to find really good Italian sausage around here. I usually bring some back if I've been up there to visit. (Gianelli's my favorite fwiw). Only found one good pizza place that tastes like the authentic mom/pop pizza you find throughout NY...good dough...tossed/baked right...fresh mozzarella...good pepperoni and sausage...good sauce. This old man has been cooking regularly since junior high(mom "ran away from home" I got to get dinner ready for Dad and my brothers and sister after school) and I'm fussy about others cookin'... especially Italian. I dont do pastry well, I leave that to my wife and daughters. Do 95% of the cooking at home. My kitchen and my garage are my favorite places. |

Cruise was alright tonite kind of light on cars. Clear but hot. Someone has a really really nice red 68 GTO and there was a sweet light green 69 bird convertible too. Deb went shopping so I brought her 69 "TA" convertible and two of my friends had their GTO's there.
No cruise on July 6th! |

Puleo's startup and his family are over here. They grow some of their own herbs, spices for the menu at these locations. But of course since this isn't a large Italian enclave, the southern roots has to be satisfied.

Bruce X2 on the Italian food. That's one of the main things that I miss. I'll be up there wednesday and my first stop will be Massies Italian Rest. in South Glens Falls then Marinos in Saratoga !
