Default Converting a 68 Chrome Front Bumper

Has anyone successfully converted a chrome bumper to accept hidden headlights? Would it be worth the time to do this? Reading all the problems about the endura bumper has my mind thinking about doing this if it’s worth it.

Thanks

Anyone have a link to the details for this? Will my grills and hidden lights work on the chrome?

Thanks

...and by the way, what problems are you reading about with the endura noses? I am unaware of problems with the noses, only problems with body guys who don't know how to work with them.

I've seen pics of that car many times over the years but this is the first time I ever noticed that it appears that the hood has been cut completely off except for the front quarter or so of it.
Good looking car.
As I recall, the owner of that car said that there was a LOT of work involved to get the hideaways mated up to the chrome bumper.....So, if avoiding the work it takes to get the endura right is your goal, you might want to rethink it..

Yeah, I look at it that way too. I guess what I'm trying to point out to the OP is that either one is going to take some effort so I'd suggest choosing the one that pleases you the most, aesthetically. There will be a learning curve either way.
The plus for the endura is that tons of people on this site have made them look good whereas you might be treading new ground with the chrome/hideaway mod.
