Would some one be able to post the correct vin font for a 69 GTO? I am trying to verify if the car I am trying to buy has the real or restamped #s. Thanks

What plant did your car come from?
There are several sizes - it depended on the plant - location changes too. If you want to e-mail me a picture I can probably verify it for you, that is if you don't want to post a picture of it here. [email protected]

It is a April 69 Atlanta car and it looks like the larger numbers 3/16ths ? can not get a pic,too hard to see. Trying to buy the car and I am not sure. I have never seen the large numbers like this by the front cover.

Do you mean Arlington rather than Atlanta?
The only "large" font I am aware of was used at the Pontiac, MI plant. You can check the block casting date, block number, and two digit block code as well. Pictures would be great. |
