Welding and panel adhesive
Anyone weld after using GM panel bonding adhesive? Will this stuff just burn off and turn into powder between the panels? I made the mistake of putting too much adhesive on and it oozed out from between the panels and I still need to butt weld the edges of a patch that attaches to the bonded panels. Any advice would be great.

It has a relatively low melting point (in fact heat is the recommended method to separate glued joints) and will burn at some point. You will have to keep it cool if you are welding near it. Maybe you could lay a wet cloth over the glued area.

Thank you for your response Don. That wet cloth is a great idea.
