Advanced auto fan clutch is crunchy , did not last very long [100 miles] .What is a good fan clutch to get for my 64 GTO 461 cu.in. Kauffman heads , tri-power , roller cam ? What year vehicle application for a replacement . thermal vs. non thermal ? thank you

Default fan clutch

the HD unit i got from NAPA is good. I put mine in last year and have close to 1000
miles on it and it pulls good. this is the hayden unit i believe its the 2797 unit.
ran her today and never hit 190 and had zero issues with hot restart.\

Yes, the Hayden Thermal HD is the way to go.
Pricey, but will last a very long time. Try Rocks or Summit too. Much Cheaper.

Tip: Use studs to install.

I recently bought a 2797 for my Bonneville thru O'Reilly's, and it was $60. Well worth it...
