What do you think a fair price to buyer and seller would be for a 71 Judge? Car belongs to a good friend of mine and is not for sale on the market. Car is original paint except for hood, nose, and left fender due to light accident damage in early 70s. It is original never screwed with 455HO Automatic with A/C and a total of 26 options. Car drives out like new and has been garaged kept since mid 70s.Car is Aztec Gold which darkens with age and looks Dark Brown, Black Vinyl Top, and Saddle Interior. My friend is considering retiring and selling out. This car would complete my collection as I own a 69 and 70 Judge. The car needs painted and detailed as it is really not good enough to keep the way it is. My friend could never bring himself to paint this car because it is mostly original paint. I have seen one more 71 Judge in this color combination and it is a knockout when done correctly. I would appreciate any help you could give me.

The interior is mint aside from the normal darkening of the saddle interior in places. A/C is cold, power windows work like they should, 8 track works, no issues with anything mechanical. Car was fitted with 14x7 rally IIs in early 70s because previous owner could not keep honeycomb wheels balanced. He traded out the honeycombs with the rally IIs on a 71 Grand Prix. A set of 14 inch honeycomb wheels less trim is included with car. A side note to this car is that it was used as a road car for the previous owner to make his weekly trips to Chicago in the early 70s.He would leave out every Sunday on used car buying trips to Chicago and drive around to all the dealerships buying trade ins for the used car dealer he bought for. This Judge set the record for the fastest trip to Chicago of all the road cars of the guys that went up North every week! Current owner bought the car in 1976 to replace a 70 Judge he bought in 1970 and sold in 1975.

If he is a REAL good friend it would be $30k, a not so good friend it will be $50k. Good luck, wish I had friends like that!

Mileage is 60,000 give or take a few miles, I cant remember.

Depending upon condition you may want to reconsider painting it. It may be perfect just the way it is.

I really love this car and always have. My friend kept it through two divorces and has always cared for it really well. I can remember looking at this car when I was 18 years old and thinking I would love to own this car, I am 47 years old so that was like 30 years ago. Current owner was and is a super cool guy that also rode a Honda 750 Four Chopper and always dated the hottest chicks. The original owner was a local legend that bought 17 brand new Judges between 1969 and 1971, but thats another story. He passed away a couple of years ago but he told me that this Judge was his favorite one of all.

Guilty H.O. restored a nice 71 Judge in this same color but I think his had the black interior. Very good looking Judge when he finished it. Don- care to post a pic of that Judge?

Just to cover all the bases and not take for granted -
make SURE the engine is the original by verifying all the codes/dates/numbers.

Carb, intake, heads, block, at minimum.
Pricey stuff if its not there / incorrect.

If all is well, and otherwise like you describe - $35-40k sounds fair for an Automatic.
Perhaps more like 30-35k with those colors.
Not the worse, not the greatest either.

I was thinking along the same lines BVZ, I will have to see if my friend thinks this way also. I have seen a total of three 71 Judges in this color combination and loaded with optional equipment and they all came from the same selling dealership. I wonder if they were ordered in that way or lot stock cars. The Golds and Browns and Greens were hot colors back then and Aztec Gold was probably considered very stylish for the times.

Any pix? Love to argee on the stylish look of the Aztec Gold 71 Judge. I like earth tones. Love a fresh painted car too. Have yet to see one patina well.....
