Yep - practically NOTHING kills the look of a car than a forked-up exhaust system, IMO.

If Rocky doesn't chime in I'll find out and post the contact. I used to see them for sale once in a while for under $50 but it's been a while.
Thanks, let me know when you think of it.

Brewster - Here are a few pics of the 73SD Auto Brewster Green/Saddle car from Dallas Mecum. Under the lights (and on TV) it looked fantastic, but up close it had several flaws. So either someone just really wanted a Brewster/Saddle SD or someone over spent. Sorry the quality isn't that great they were taken with my camera phone.

I'm not sure what was going on at Dallas as the bids were much higher thatn even other Mecum auctions this year. At a time when prices are down all over (I know of a red 74 SD auto car advertised for $39K and recent sales of Blue 74 SD's on Ebay have been in the mid 30's), cars were going for BIG $$ at dallas.

The place is Performance Distributors in Memphis. I called and they told me they don't sell the sleeves separately.

I have one here and am going to see if I can find someone to make some locally. If so I'll have some for anyone who needs one. If not I can send mine to Craig and I bet he'll make some correct ones.

IIRC - it was broadcast as sold for $95k without the additional buyers auction markup %, tax, title, and license.

That would be great - the guy who bought my 72 Sundance WW5 has restored it and used a SD block for the base of the engine but is stuck on the distributor - I'd love to see him get it going. I'm sure Craig would do a nice job with it.

It's only 40 year old paint , the interior is nice ? I know the car and would love to have it for that price . Lets see the pics of your original paint Brewster green SD !

Anyone have the link to the auction posting? Did they mention it was original paint?

Default Sleeve

I bought my sleeve from Nunzi's automotive a few years back, don't know if he is still
in business or not. Worked fine with MSD.

Any luck yet - the shop where the car is at is getting a little pissy about it sitting.

Any other sources?
