Default hydraulic repair experts check in

My JD loader control unit is leaking.
I had the unit rebuilt several years ago and some of the problems were never really fixed.
So when the leaking got real bad I decided to fix it myself.
The spools were both leaking to the point of squirting when the valve was moved.
I fixed this by building up the spool with silver solder and having it turned to spec again.
Now the check valves are leaking.
I removed them, replaced the O rings and backing rings,it was leak free for about 30 min and is leaking again.
These check valves are a press fit with a thru bolt retaining them.
Unit is made by Cessna and is called a closed circuit unit.
Any ides why these check valves are now leaking?
