My car has 245/60-14's up front and 255/60-15's out back. Radial T/A's. After 6-8 years and about 15,000 miles the rears have given up.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I like the look of the Radial T/A, but was willing to possibly swap to another brand if they offered a 245/60-14 size. The choices in 245/60-14 didn't do much for me, looks wise, so I concentrated my search for the BFG's. I searched TireRack, Discount Tire, Tire Buyer.com, TreadDepot, Online Tires.com and numerous other sites and all were around $300+- for a pair of 255/60-15's. Prices ranged from $289.56 to $311.01 delivered to my office. Some were MUCH more. On a whim I looked on eBay. buywheelstoday.com offers a pair at $278 delivered. They have 33173 feedbacks---99.6% positive. Ordered. Estimated delivery by Nov 16th.

BFG's are nice...lots of blue/white billowing smoke
. For our old iron they have the right sizes where most tire manu's just don't any longer. Plenty of better tires out there but if they don't fit your wheels........

Before long the supply of 14 and 15 inch wheel tires will dry up. Low demand and high production costs. Buy them now or be prepared to switch to 17 inch wheels in the future.

Somebody will buy the tooling. Prices will go through the roof, but then buying a new set of wheels I won't like wouldn't be cheap either.

Keep your eyes open at the swap meets if u go to them, I just bought a set of brand new BFG Radial T/A'S for 150. 255/70/15 would have cost me over 350 up here. we do quite a bit of auto swap meet and usually come home with tires, might not be BFG's but we find the right size and sometimes new or almost new for next to 1/4 the price.

I looked at the tires I have on my old rebuild dodge pickup, I purchased in 2010, trying to remember when I bought the pile, when I was working on it here recently. The DOT numbers were on both sides of those tires, but the date was only on one side (I've never seen this, before....It's something I have to pay attention to at my job....

Thanks for posting this since I had no idea that BFG quit making these tires. I went and checked Discount Tire and a few others and low and behold their online pages do not show Firebirds.
![]() I have a set of BFG TA's that are 12 years old. They looks great and ride perfectly. No cracks or flat spots but the car is stored inside the garage and is rarely driven. I guess I will keep them as long as possible and then have to buy whatever is out there. Sad, I never thought about this.

I just purchased six BFG 255/60-15's from buywheelstoday and received them quick, and they were around $133 each shipped to my door with my E-Bay discount.

Sorry about that. I saw your thread and looked around at the usual places and my year and car are obsolete to them so I thought they were gone.
Thanks for posting their website as I found a set of BFG's like I have for $122 ea.
