Default Trans brake & Line Loc wiring question

I am new at this but trying to do it right.

I have a simple set up, TCI TH400 and a Hurst Quarter Stick shifter with a button.

My original plan was to use the button on the shifter for engaging my line loc and have a seperate button for the transbrake.

Is this an ok way to set it up? is there a better way to wire the two up?

My Catalina is set up that way. Button on shifter is used for line-loc so you can shift during burnouts. Seperate switch for the transbrake.

I have the button for my line lock in a spoke of the steering wheel, to operate with the thumb of my left hand. I have two buttons for the T-brake. One one the shifter, that my son likes, and one on the transmission tunnel, that I use.

I had two separate buttons, but then went to a toggle switch that allows the button on the shifter to engage the line lock when in the back position, and powers the shifter button to apply the trans brake in the forward position. Next time I have the console out, I'm going back to separate buttons with the transbrake on the shift handle and the line lock on the console. I've never forgotten to flip the switch forward after the burnout, but I know that eventually I'm going to forget and roll through the beams.
