Cool. I don't recognize the background, so it's not around here (meaning, not the GM Tech Center or Proving Ground). Looks like too much vegetation for Phoenix (DPG). California, maybe?

2nd thought: Rocky Rotella was looking for GM promotional photos for his records. If there are notations on the back of the photo (ie, photographer, company or photo number) he might be interested in that.

Any chance that's out near the proving grounds in Mesa?
Moe - how about an update on the restoration? I only know where it's getting done because I know the project that was put on hold so yours could get done. Will we get to see it at the Co-Vention?

This is an exciting story. Good luck with the project and please do keep the photos coming. This will make for a great magazine piece down the road after it debuts (for the second time in its history).

I don't think so - my first thought was South Mountain, near Phoenix (there are some scenic overlooks there) - but there's too much vegetation. Phoenix/Mesa is pretty barren in the wilderness areas.

Looks more like San Fernando Valley to me, think hills to north, south or west of Van Nuys. I lived in Phoenix in mid-80's and moved to Woodland Hills just south of Van Nuys after that. Looks too hilly(small hills) and as noted by others as too much vegetation for AZ.

I am reaching out to my PY friends to locate someone in the Los Angeles area that owns a nice 1969 Trans Am. Here is why.... Sowith Motorsports Production CEO Stephen Cox(Veloscity Network) and I will be traveling to Los Angeles Feb.20th to interview Rick Titus(son of Trans Am racing Superstar Jerry Titus) and Eric Dahlquist(Motor Trend writer of the June 1969 article featuring the Silver 1969 Trans Am) for the upcoming production piece on the Silver 1969 Trans Am Prototype. They will be sharing the history and stories as well as memories of the begining of the Trans Am as they experienced it when Jerry got it from Royal Pontiac and its rounds as road test car. Our hope is someone with a 1969 Trans Am and maybe other TA's be apart of this historic event by allowing us to include their TA in the shoot. The location is yet tobe comfirmed as we are still working on details. I really think this is unprecedented in Pontiac History! So I need your help.

Well Curt did a great job pulling this together for next week. As a bonus, John Angeles will be accompanying me to the shoot. Should be a lot of fun!

Really excited about traveling to California this week for the begining of the production piece by Sopwith Motorsports Productions on the Silver car. Thanks to Doug for arranging his 69 Trans Am to be part of this. Looking forward to meeting Rick Titus and Eric Dahlquist an hearing the stories about their time with the car. I'll post up some pictures for all to see. Attached is the press release
