But how much of that $12.9 million total came from her salary and prize money? 10% - 20%???

Dale Jr. (#1 on the list) earned that much just from his salary and prize money. He earned more than that on his endorsements.

In reality - Wanica is still a Wannabee...

Money doesn't buy respect, but does buy admiration. I guess it comes down to a person's morals and/or values.

This forum really clouds my mind at times (this thread and another thread in the lobby).

Coming home, I hear Van Halen and this is all I could think of. Sorry. Pontiac gods help me.

Stay away from Dan Halen and prescription drugs while you operate heavy machinery.

Iwanica will start 41st on Sunday. She failed to qualify on speed again (about 5 MPH off the pole speed), but got in on another owners provisional.

Barring an early crash (assuming she isn't in it), she'll be a lap down within the first 10 laps.

Judging from how long this thread has lasted, I'd say NASCAR made a good move signing her on as a driver.
Rock on, Goddess Racer!

Well if you mean that real race fans can make fun of one of the worst Cup "racers" in history.

The definition of "Racer" is: "One that races or takes part in a race"

So, by definition - she is a "racer" - but only because she "participates".

The "Goddess" part is a matter of personal taste. Evidently she meets your criteria.

She doesn't meet mine. And I'm not just referring to her looks.

NASCAR has had plenty of women that are fans for decades. I've been attending NASCAR races with my wife and daughter for over 20 years and neither one of them give two hoots about Iwanica because they both know that she doesn't belong there.

My wife and daughter were with me when Shawna Robinson became the first female to qualify on the pole in NASCAR history back in 1994 in Atlanta. If Shawna would have had the quality of equiment that Iwanica has, she would have been a serious contender.

If you go to a race in person - you will see that the crowd has a lot of couples and families. Probably a higher percentage of females at a NASCAR race than at a ball game.

The other females that have raced in NASCAR were not "rough" looking and had more talent than Iwanica. What they didn't have was the financial backing that Iwanica has because they didn't constantly pose seductively for anyone with a camera.
