Real class act during interview trying to claim she passed more cars than anyone else...really DaniKant? Really?
"That wasn't Danica's fault" was the commentator topic for this race. Wonder WHAT Jr really said after she spun him. No matter really; how exciting for NASCAR, the 12th place finisher is (again) "THE STAR"? |

Let her make headlines with her good driving.
Enough of Danica already! |

I'm not a Danica fan, but she drove a good race today.
She never passed the leader under green, on track. She got her laps back via the drive-around, but that's the rules. BTW, Vickers is still a douche. |

Say what you want, like it or not Danica does NOT deserve to be where she is today. The announcers and nascar media remind of the left wing media always trying to justify Obama and everything he does. Even a blind squirrel will find a nut once in a while. Why don't the Nascar announcers give credit to more deserving drivers who actually are doing a better job than DANICA! I have given up on Nascar and their biased views.

Sure they can, just like they do in Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Track, Hockey, Tennis, Golf, etc. There are dozens of drivers that struggle as much as she does without money, sponsorship, media attention and NASCAR's help, try tell them she deservers this reversed discrimation! It's not because she is a woman, it's because she is a really attractive woman! If she was 170 lbs. and looked like a mud fence how do you think this would play out? Where would Nascar be? Who would sponsor her? Last edited by richard sargent; 04-08-2013 at 12:28 AM. |

Dennis I agree 100%.
NASCAR is money driven, even over talent. If a driver can bring a sponsor a team will find a seat for them. |

Speak for yourself. And I won't go into the NASCAR "no touch" policy.

Let's see, at the red flag stop she was 16th. At the restart, she was 11th due to drivers making a pitstop. Was in 11th 'til the last lap, finished 12th. Tony should rip her a new one.

As the Brits expression, some get to feeling " a little Randy" attempting to stir the pot on this thread...closet DaniCant Apologist coming out.

F1, NHRA, WRC, WOO, et al? No of course not. If you want a "Lil peace and quiet" you could simply move on to another thread where they hand out trophies to all just for showing up...just like they do at "The Special Olympics" and evidently in Elizabethton TN, yes? |

Nope, you win. I've never been to one of those fancy things you call a race, please tell us all about them from your vast knowledge. Don't forget to grab your trophy for showing up!

She's still 26th in points and the reason for her 12th place finish was due to attrition, not any great driving skills. She did manage to keep her car together and virtually intact so she spent no time in the pits other than to fuel and change tires, that right there was her advantage at this short track, not superior driving skills. It's pretty easy to gain positions when you pass while the other cars are in the pits. This is contrary to her usual finish that she comes in on the hook, or spends the lap after lap n the pits repairing damage caused by inexperience and lack of natural talent. She has not shown me anything great as of yet, and I doubt she'll show me anything in the future.
Her Fox fan club especially DW repeatedly commented on how she kept out of trouble and her car showed little of the usual short track wear. She can be given credit for that, however staying out of trouble and inheriting positions due to attrition does not showcase any real driving skills. She still has no talent advantage over her peers, but she does have a huge sponsor and the best equipment and crew money can buy. If she ever shows any exceptional driving talent I'll admit it, so far mediocre talent is all I've seen.

She could win the Championship and you guys would say it's rigged, a fluke, media driven. Doesn't matter what she does, 1st or 31st, you guys will find a way to fault where ever she finishes, you just can't stand she's racing in NASCAR because she's a girl and finishing higher than some veteran guys. Whatever.

Let us not forget she has big money, great crew, top quality equipment and a lot of years and miles in all kinds of kinds of different race cars. She's been racing since she was 10 years old, starting off in go karts, now 31 she's got 21 years of racing, more than I ever had. Some of her competition isn't even 21 years old and drive a lot better than she does. The difference is I won more races in 5-6 years than she has in her whole career. Quote:
That sound like a racer to you? I've raced with plenty of women during my career and have seen few that impress me. Considering her parents bought her rides she was always in good equipment I am not the least bit impressed, maybe your standards aren't as high as mine are though ![]() You want to see a girl that can drive a race car? WATCH THE #27 CAR IN THIS VIDEO!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq77Z0ydXqQ Paige Polyak was the first woman to win a feature at Eldora Speedway in 59 years. She has moved up from the 305 sprints, to 410s this year, 1375 lbs 8-900 HP. I believe she'll be a threat if she has decent equipment under her. One other thing, she's 19 YO................... ![]() Last year when I went to watch the Prelude to the Dream at Eldora, Wanica was racing and she wrecked on the second lap piling into the wall right in front of my seat.

For the record, I actually like Richard Petty quite a bit and think he did have talent to drive. But, I also think Danica does, too. These days, finishing 12th at Martinsville takes talent. The competition is just too tough. So, she did good. Give her a break!!
