in 1969 did the gto judge have an option of having a deluxe steering wheel with a wood grain center? i talked to the seller and he said it was a factory option but i never seen this. i believe it came off of a ventura

No.
While the wheel pictured itself is the same design, the wood grain center didn't come in until sometime in the 70s, I'm not sure what year exactly though. Maybe someone can chime in with the exact year.

No. I think that the wheel pictured is off a 70's Lemans. If its a GTO deluxe wheel it will have a chrome or stainless ring around the wheel itself. Also it will be one solid color. I have run into the same problem. Im changing my interior from green to...well I have yet to decide, the wheel on my 70 Judge is the deluxe 3 horn one. I bought a wheel from a guy out of State. When it arrived I saw that it is the exact one you have pictured. I then started doing my homework on the deluxe wheels. I hope this helps.
