My front parking brake cable on my 69 GTO is frayed, I have a new one, but how do you get the old one out? The problem is inside the car where it attaches to the fire wall.
Thanks, D.L. |

I think a 9/16 box end wrench fits right over the cable ....and collapses the fingers..
slide it down and wiggle them both around a bit and push the cable down thru the floor.. works good on the rears also thru the backing plate....... i think youllle get the idea Scott |

Or a small band clamp to compress the fingers.
Easy as pie....

Thank you for the replies, the 9/16 didn't quite get the fingers tight enough so I will try the small band clamp when i get one!
Thanks Guys, D.L. |
