Saturday Speed Channel did a great job of showing just how boring NASCAR is by having the Rolex series at Road Atlanta and the V8 Supercars on after the Truck race.

Kansas is one boring track, the Rolex and Supercars showed how exciting Auto racing can be.

Don't be surprised if USA spec cars morf into V8 Super car platforms to grow NASCAR audience. Rolex Series Grand Am and American LeMans Series (ALMS) announced 2014 merger - renamed: United Sports Car Racing - to be the 1st step towards this IMO.

Note the agreements below and

The FIA U.S.A. Promotion of V8 Supercars Signing 5 yr contract w COTA is another step in that direction

"World wide V8 Racing Series in the works?"

Here is the 2013 schedule. 15 events total, one outside the Australia/New Zealand area.

Apr 5-7 Tasmania 360 Symmons Plains Raceway Launceston, Tasmania
Apr 12-14 ITM 400 Auckland Pukekohe Park Raceway Pukekohe, New Zealand
May 3-5 Chilli Perth Challenge Barbagallo Raceway Perth, Western Australia
May 17-19 Austin 400 Circuit of the Americas Austin, Texas
Jun 14-16 Skycity Triple Crown Hidden Valley Raceway Darwin, Northern Territory
Jul 5-7 Sucrogen Townsville 400 Townsville Street Circuit Townsville, Queensland
Jul 27-28 Coates Hire Ipswich 360 Queensland Raceway Ipswich, Queensland
Aug 23-24 Winton 360 Winton Motor Raceway Benalla, Victoria
Sep 13-15 Sandown 500 Sandown Raceway Melbourne, Victoria
Oct 10-13 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 Mount Panorama Circuit Bathurst, New South Wales
Oct 25-27 Armor All Gold Coast 600 Surfers Paradise Street Circuit Surfers Paradise, Queensland
Nov 23-24 Phillip Island 360 Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Phillip Island, Victoria
Dec 6-Dec 8 Sydney 500 Homebush Street Circuit Sydney, New South Wales

COTA is a new track and they need to bring races (any races) to the circuit to validate the time and money put into it. As they couldn't get either a Nationwide or a Cup road course there, they settled for V8 Supercars.

04/22/13 - Patrick receives attention far out of proportion to her actual racing statistics, and for that reason, she tends to draw more heat (and notice) than most drivers. So when she gets to talking, other drivers aren't always willing to listen.

Case in point: Sunday's Kansas race, where Patrick finished a disappointing 25th. According to USA Today, she was not pleased with fellow racer David Gilliland: "He tries to take me out every time," Patrick told her team during the race. "Tell his spotter that I'm coming after him if he does it again. In fact, I might just do it right now."

She didn't carry through on her threat to break out the chrome horn, however. Nor did she give any postrace interviews at the track. Gilliland, who finished 23rd, had a simple message for Patrick, delivered through his PR rep:

"Shut up and race."

She didn't, but I think it was last year that she tried to wreck sam hornish after the busch race at dega and put him in the wall after the race was over.

Before opening her pie hole:

Wonder if she saw the replay with Gilliland and others "up on the wheel, sawing from lock to lock" in turns 2 and 4 to keep their cars from crashing and moving on down the track? If she DID see the post race tape and STILL makes same statement - give her a trophy for epic douche bag award!

I couldn't believe that she actually said that. She wants to race with the big boys but wants them to "treat her like a lady". Good luck with that one.

Seems every week it's someone else. Who's next? Remember "you're racing with the big boys".

I think I will email Teletubby offering the same bet I posted here. Maybe that will light a fire under her ass. Not so much for the money, but maybe the insult.

She had another situation with a different driver - can't remember who for sure - but DW, one of the biggest Danica apologists, even said that there was no reason for her to be upset.

When DW stops taking Danica's bitching seriously, you know that she's running at the mouth too much for her own good.
