Thanks for posting!!!

I never knew the interior was pronounced more-ROCK-ide (I always pronounced it MORROW-kide).

I also have never seen the "Custom Sports" wheelcover (at about 5:55 on the vid). Anyone here have them on his '64? Are they hard to find?

google street view of 2821 E. Grand Ave., Detroit MI is depressing...that is the address of the company that produced the dealer filmstrip kits.

That's great info!

I have seen more than a few sets of those Custom Sport wheel covers. They came out in 1963. Mercury Comet/Cyclone used a similar cap.

Matt, I have seen them on E-Bay a few times often billed as '63 like the auction 8-lug posted.

Matt: As soon as I heard the guy say, 'more-ROCK-ide', I thought the same as you.....glad I am not the only one that has been pronouncing it incorrectly all along.

John: Thanks for posting...very informative and intersting....high quality video, too.

That's the "New Center" area. The tall building to the west is the Fisher Building (as in "Fisher Body" - art deco jewell of the Detroit skyline) which sits directly across from the old GM headquarters building. Ever heard of "the 14th Floor"? That's where that is.

I wish we could just pick some of those buildings up with a helicopter and deposit them somewhere else....
