Good friend was walking through the Charlotte Autofair and stumbled across this Survivor. Called me with owners contact info and a deal was struck. Just got it home and I can't believe how honest and original this car is. 73000 original miles. I've never seen one with shoulder belts. Just love the feel of a loved, old car. The original paint shows enough parking lot dings but the patina is something only Mother Nature can do.

Congrats! Nothing beats the feel and integrity of a non-abused, never-disassembled original car in great shape. It looks like you're the perfect choice as the new custodian of this time capsule. I love all cars, restored or not, but have to say, spend a LOT more time looking at and appreciating original old cars like yours. Nice score!!

Congratulations! It's beautiful.
I know what you mean about the feeling--I too have a one-owner survivor car that was well cared for by its owner. Mine had 82,000 miles when I got it. Enjoy! |

That is a superb find Bruno, a true survivor! Good luck with it. Love those shoulder belts too.
Will you be bringing the car to Dayton?

Wow! I'd give my left nut for the seat covers out of that car,
possibly my right one as well! My 70 Chevelle SS has perfect original seats with mile deep heat pressed inserts like your GTO. I have Legendary seat covers in my GTO and they look pretty good, but nothing like yours. Damn I wish someone could make repro seat covers with the correct deep grooves in the heat press. Congrats on a great find. If you ever want to sell those seat covers let me know! |
