Default 69 firebird front turnsignal housings

What color is the inside of the front turnsignal housings? white or silver?there area around the bulb thasnks john

On a 69 it should be silver to use with an amber bulb.

Mine are silver. I didn't know I was supposed to have amber bulbs.

By federal law you are to have ambe lamps in the front & red in the rear, it was cheaper for GM to paint the backs of the lens & add amber bulbs to make that happen. There were a lot of cars with that combo , again because it was less expensive. But yes amber bulbs in the trun lamp on the front of the 69 turn lamp.
