Mike:
How are you getting anything done at work or at home, or - for that matter, sleeping? I'd be giddy with excitement watching this project approaching completion! Congrats on a beautiful car!

I totally enjoyed the whole process!! From getting car to the key parts from key people! Not many of these built? 1 of 40 I hear?
Big thanks to all for the parts and advice. This is what this forum can really help with.

Labor of love and having things turn out is sweet and not w/o sweat. But, as Dan has told me this car has fought him the whole way. Darrell had his share of run-ins with this one too.

Long journey and good people make it a fun project. BTW: I wasn't just the check writer...

Next stop Dayton, and it looks better in person. No regrets!

Looks fantastic!
Saw it before it left Darrell’s shop and was amazed at it then.

I guess, now that its looking like the car when it was on the showroom floor day one. I could see someone jumpimg on this ride over the GTO?

Hope when its is point judged they will realized some extras came with car as we knew it. Like the passenger retractor? Maybe not? Thats a lot of seat belts!

I judged 69-72 A-bodies at POCI last year and I can assure you no one will notice the passenger retractor thing . From what I learned judging at POCI, it is about 75% quality of restoration and 25% correctness of parts!

Thanks Chris, Hope Todd comes to Dayton to check it out. Many items he had in trunk were NOS or bought for these GT-37's he was building some not even used. The headliner and sail panels, badges, and Big black ball shifter on car....

BTW: I will bring extras to Dayton for anyone needing some fender Pontiac badges, GT badges, etc...

Sold the old Mags/Tires to Dan's neighbor.

Car turned out gorgeous.

Did anyone ever finish reproducing the 2 color D98 sport stripes?

Mike,

The car looks fantastic. You, Dan, and Darryl definitely did it proud. I can't wait to see it in person at the Co-vention.
