1969 12Bolt 3.31 Chevelle(A-body) rear with a Posi unit
Selling a complete 1969 12 bolt 3.31 open rear complete drum to drum. Was removed from a 69 Chevelle SS that was parted years ago.
I have for this rear an original GM(EATON) Posi carrier that will need a couple pieces replaced before being installed into this rear. This Posi unit was in my friends 71 GP Drag Car. He had just purchased the severe duty service kit from Eaton that included an 800 lbs spring kit, and their severe duty clutches. He put a set of radial slicks on the car. When he launched, the car spun,wheelhopped, and it broke the spider gears, so he replaced it with a Moroso brute strength carrier. Anyway, to make a short story long, I bought the carrier from him, and it will need the spider gear/side gear replacement kit from Eaton(about$125),and one spring plate($20) and it will be ready to go into the above 3.31 geared 12 bolt. Need $500 for it, and it must be picked up. Thanks, Tom 269-279-7476
