Ya but this one just had a $100,000 restoration

Saw the car in person at the T/A Nats last year. Not many restos make me stop and look at the details more closely anymore - this one did. Very nicely done. And I applaud the owner (and restorer) for putting the top back on it.

Can't says I've seen more than one or two SD Formulas restored to a similar level, and I don't recall any that have been for sale publicly being as nice as this HO car.... so value comparisons are a bit difficult.

Quality is in the details and this one has those. Leave the trash at the curb....

This car is the exact colour/trim combo of my car when it left the factory.
Makes me wish I'd decided to go with the factory scheme (including the roof).
What held me back is every other guy who has one of these cars paints the darned thing red....and here it was that mine was actually a red factory car and I couldn't bring myself to make it look like everyone else's cars......
This car is just so good looking!!!!!!!!! I hope the owner gets what he's after.

which also why it looks so much better with the top, w/o the top it looks like "everybody elses" car, not only from that era, but today. take a drive down the road & see how many vinyl tops you see....zip....vinyls just hi-light even more what was different from that era....

I've been fortunate enough to see this car in person too. It does look as good as the pictures indicate. Tom did a fantastic job on the restoration. And Joe over at RK motors has got the art of photography down in his light booth. The pictures truly reflect the beauty of this car. I know it didn't look that good sitting on the showroom floor back in the day!

Congratulations Tom on the restoration.

Thanks for setting my priorities right Chris. I called RK as they say that they accept trades. I offered them my wife, an Armalite AR-10 with Leupold 6X18, and 5000 rounds of ammo.

They wouldn't deal, so for sale to the first buyer with $89,900 cash:

One good woman. A little hard to get started on cold mornings. Comes with about 48 sets of tires, most very low mileage. Condition 2, could use a good buff job. All original body panels. Oversized twins hood bulges have been added to improve functionality.

To sweeten the deal, I'll include all jewelry and the Armalite. I know that the discriminating buyer will want to know exactly what they are getting, so below is a picture of the gun.
