To tell the truth, I have no idea if the trim is the same. So, you're saying there are no clips or anything like that, just the trim captured by something or another?
I did find the complete factory manual online. The cutaway drawing of the trim is kind of confusing though....Like most factory manual drawings. By the way, I got it up on the lift at my friend's shop today and someone did put all new shocks, springs and struts on the thing very recently. They are not even dirty. Also, it was the first relatively long interstate trip I've taken. I think she's a keeper. Runs and handles great for a 33 year old import.

hey Greg talked to my son & he said the side windshield trim has screws under door seals you have to pull doors seals out of channel & then remove screws other trim is held in by small clips. hope that helps
|

Yeah, that does help. Assuming he means the 'A' pillar trim by 'side windshield'. I hate to mess with the seals since they are in great shape but looking at it, I think he's right. It does appear to wrap around and under the seal area. Thanks!

yeah I should have said A pillars & I looked at the car he's scraping and it has screws behind the seals and his seals pulled out & back in pretty easy. son says you need these wheels on that car (got a set for sale lol)

Those look great (and expensive) but I'm going to salvage the ones I have on there. I think if I can polish them and paint the centers black they'll look pretty good on the car.

Between my dad and I, I think we've had a '71, '75, '78, '79, '81, and '82.
I love the MT cars, but they have to have power windows - at 6' 5", I can't keep a foot near the clutch and roll the window crank.  Where's Cobrabill? He's got a cool Z car.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I remember a pic he posted of a REALLY nice 1st gen Z. I've got a rear caliper on order for mine and hopefully, that'll fix the brake problem. Either way, it needed replacement. After that, I'll deal with the rust over the windshield and a small header exhaust leak. After that, it's a daily driver.
Oh, and Mike, at least at that height you can roll the passenger window down without leaning over...lol
