Whoever thinks that the boston bomber douche looks like a rock star is......in need of a reality check. The guy on the cover looks like a TERRORIST to me.

Why is everybody up in arms about this ? Nobody gave a rip when they put this douchebag's picture on the front of newspapers. What's the difference?

Anyone who sees the magazine on the newsstand or reads it at home knows they have plenty of political articles. In fact:

The problem is giving these pychos what they want and that is to immortilized in some way wether TV or print, to fuel the next generation of pychos. Why have there been so many kids who have tried to shot up their schools because they were bullied too and those two little cowards that shot up Columbian showed them the way. That is the problem with giving any of these pychos any kind media attention. Instead of acting like these kids are some poor misguided youth who just need a hug, no they need to shown what happens to little cowards who play with guns and bombs. Or show the people that were injured or the police officers that deal with this crap eveyday on the cover not the killer

Psychos have existed before the time of media, not to mention he's already captured our attention with an explosive, so what's some media coverage at this point?

Frankly, I'm tired of Internet outrage in all its forms, from Chik-Fil-A to Paula Deen to the Dixie Chicks to what-not. It's like we've all turned female all of a sudden.

The media whores are having a field day, just like the Zimmerman case.

Where is the outrage for the 20 million unemployed?

How about 48 million on food stamps?
And our incompetent leaders love this: everyone's paying so much attention to Zimmerman that they forget about the much bigger issues that are much more important.

If anything why didn't they put the victims on the cover instead of glorifying the POS ?

That Jim Morrison cover sure is true to form, eh. Not the fully bearded porked out sloth that croaked in a bath tub.

ta6point6 made a darn good point about why putting scumbag on the cover was not cool.
It has great potential to influence mixed up kids who don't get enough 'Likes' on their Facebook page. No need to inspire all the other losers to do something really evil to become famous.

The whole thing went down hill after Hunter S. Thompson stopped writing for them. Now THERE is a psycho I can identify with. I was going to take over for him, but lost motivation when the cost of ammo went sky high.

I liked Hunter; how would you define "Gonzo journalism" though ?

Without taking a trip to the Clubhouse I would say it was Libertarianism turned up to '11'. Look at all his books. He endorsed basic freedoms. He may have been a twisted dude, but life liberty and the pursuit of happiness were his core values. When he wrote for RS, he was attempting to uncover all the disingenuousness in politics. His disgust was with duplicity and the undermining of the American Dream - the pendulum of destruction of which seems to shift back and forth between the two parties over time. I think this was as confusing to him as he went along as it is to anyone. Gonzo was an attempt to keep up, figure it out and report back. A continuous theme and struggle until he took his life.

True, because we're incapable of multitasking.
