Tom Vaught must still be trying to think of what the great things you and Gaby have done for the pontiac community he claims you guys have done.

If John Marcella ONLY did business with official PY members (there are 32,464 of them) and you say that he might be a .1% benefit to the PY Members, doing some Calculator Racing, I get that John M. could have helped or worked on 3,246 members cylinder heads. (for GG's benefit, you take 32,464 and divide by 1000 and you get 3,246, doh!

When you whipped out that .1% benefit for Pontiac Members, (this is only the PY Board members and not a lot of other customers John M has) I bet you never thought it would be that high. So again GG you shot from the hip, without a clue of what then number would be by YOUR ESTIMATE.

In reality I doubt if John M has ported anywhere near that many cylinder heads for the PY people but just goes to show that you run your mouth without thinking a lot. Carry on Joe Bubba.

Tom Vaught
Do you have the list of all the great things John and Gaby have done for the pontiac community yet? Talk about running your mouth without thinking..

I see no one else has mentioned anything either that actually made a difference for the average pontiac owner. Proves my point

What's the average Pontiac owner?

Few and far between.

Now if someone said the Butlers or Kauffmans have done a lot of the pontiac community then there would be no argument, even edelbrock. But John M and Gaby, Seriously? I think Tom is getting senile.

He remembers history that never happen lol

Does your hero Darin Morgan make his living off of Pontiacs? I ask because you brought him up as being the end all be all of cylinder heads and I'm guessing both John and Gaby have done way more for Pontiacs then Darin... Both John and Gaby make a living off of the racing community as a whole. I would venture to say they have done engines work for most of the major engine families. They are both in the higher end of the industry and therefore do Mostly Chevies and Fords if I had to guess. They have however taken old products Edelbrock RPM heads and new Pro Ports and made the most power.. anytime a builder can pull more power then others out of a product, it is an option and benefit to the whole community.. it also causes others and companies to take note of said community for future performance parts... so I would say their work on Pontiacs will pay off a lot more then Darins work.. what do you think

Here is the deal. You're probably close on the average. But higher end racers and those who might want to be one day see Marcella's and Gaby's cars going exceptionally quick they realize a 10 or 9 second Pontiac shouldnt be a problem at all. They keep a lot of people from degrading our cars with "corporate engines. I suppose you don't think Langer or Kinsler do anything for us either?

Gaby sent Darin a set of Tiger heads before to have work done, if Gaby is the pontiac man why would he send heads to Darin who obviously does not make a living doing anything pontiac?
So to answer your question you should ask Darin what he has and has not worked on for pontiacs. Ports do not know the make of the engine they go on, so whoever has done more port work in general would probably have greater potential for advancing any brand in my opinion. Darin has done more heads than John and Gaby ever will, don't you believe?

Langer and Kinsler? lol, is this a serious question? Like I said, Butlers and Kauffman have done more than anyone, because they keep the average pontiac guys car alive, even PY can be thrown in the mix, for they all supply parts the average guy can use.

Whats the cheapest pontiac part or service either of them offer the pontiac community?

I would be Willing to bet Darin does very little port work and has done very little for years..Do you think Keith Wilson ports intakes or has guys in house doing the work for him? And no, just because someone does lots of heads, that doesn't make them the best! May I refer you to KRE... Its like NASCAR drivers, you have to be in the right place and well marketed to get a ride in one...there are guys that race at local circle tracks that are much better drivers but werent in the right place or didn't have the money backing them to get in a cup car... same with engine guys. Darins heads do great on pro stock cars ( mostly) but I'm also guessing it was some level of luck and timing to get to the level he is.. I also bet there are no named builders that could do as well or better but we will never know..

Well from the people I know who have been to RM, Darin still ports heads, and is usually busy porting heads when he is called on the phone, but I do not know the amount of heads he ports obviously, you could call and ask if you really need to know.

The cheapest and probably best thing they provide is exposure. I race. I don't go to SEMA to look at motors on stands. I go to the track. I see Langer, Kinsler and Marcella's motors and watch THEM race. I see Gaydosh, Rex, the Butlers and Kaufmans. If you don't think the manufacturers' don't learn from the racers you are a fool. Well come to think of it , you probably don't.

So what are some of the things you believe they have learned from them that has not been known for many years? Be specific.

Don't the Butlers and Kauffman's have their own race programs for product development?

I mean if either of them want to post on here and give John or Gaby or any of the others mentioned credit for their product development that would be great

Did you recently see the post of John welding up the Tiger head?

Absolutely not true, whomever told you that is lying. He NEVER sent him a set of Tiger heads to do any work on. That is a blatant and outright lie!
