I had a similar incident. I went looking for a used truck on a car lot, any truck that had been on the lot the longest. They have to pay taxes so they make bigger deals on cars on the lot over 90 days. I found one and made an offer. Of course no takey on their end. The manager came over and tried to guilt me into his price. I told him I'm trying to buy the truck but he's keeping me from leaving with it. Him, POed greatly. I left. The salesman called the next day and tried that "someone else" routine above. I just told him to sell it to the other guy who was looking at it, or take my price. They took it. |
