I painted my trunk yesterday and it came out perfect.
Thanks for the help Clarence. I took your advice and bought the hardener to go with the paint from Zolatone and I used a Sata gun with a 2.5 tip. I put down a coat of black epoxy primer first so it was easier to cover then 2 coats of trunk paint. Its the perfect color dark green with aqua splatter. Looks factory and it wont wash away like the aresol cans you buy and have to clear coat over. This stuff drys hard as nails. Very impressed with this product. |

HEY THEY COULD USE YOU TO PROMOTE THEIR PRODUCT yes got the front clip on .. no problems except a lack of knowledge,, a couple of questions I have.....
do all gtos get a under hood blanket? what decals are under the hood? where does the caution fan sticker go?.. i am not using a shroud oh the reproduction large stainless rocker went on with no problems at all.. so the large stainless rocker trim and the repo dash with wood grain were to great repo pieces later clarence |

Not positive so others might comment too
yes all GTO's had hood insulation unless its a ram air car I dont have any underhood decals. My A/C compressor has the Frigidaire decal and a "OK" paint stamp on it. I have part number tags on my fuel and brake lines my wiper motor has a small decal and date paint stamp on it I always thought the orange Caution fan stickers were aftermarket but people use them. i am not sure they are original if you have an HO car I thought you have all the A/C cooling components like 4 core radiator, rubber radiator baffles on the core support and a fan shroud. looking good Clarence! |

My GTO is now 99% done.
I just had the glass installed. The interior is installed along with door panels too. I need to do a few odds and ends like geT the correct battery, phosphorus plate the hood hinges, install the hood, do about 10 more things I cant remember and fill it up with gas! The long road of restoring this GTO is just about over. |

Do people who have concourse cars just tow them everywhere?
So is it technically considered art? |

I sent my GTO to the shop to get a front end alignment and a few odds and ends done.
I have to work out all the bugs and take it on a nice long ride one day soon Once I get it back I hope too hit some cars shows with it and like to have it judged at the GTOAA next year. Last edited by RedDirtRoad; 09-12-2013 at 12:54 PM. |

1. I love that tow truck! Ive never seen that kind of enclosure. 2. The shop the GTO is at is cleaner than my own garage that (which is or I thought) is very clean. Great pics. |

Thanks.
I requested that specific truck, known as a Carriage Rollback. I have date coded glass on the car and the last thing I need is something hitting the windshield while being transported to the shop. Yes, That shop is clean. Its spotless at the end of the day too. The shop doing the minor work is a Ferrari dealer in the Phila suburbs. They have one Tech there that is a muscle car aficionato and knows them well. He services the high end muscle cars the dealer takes on trades ins. Great dealership with highly respected techs. |

Very nice looking 67!!! Really like the color combo. Don't blame you one bit on the fully enclosed tow truck. I won't put my cars on anything but a flat bed. Will have to see if any of the tow guys out here have the carriage rollback truck.

I scored and original Q-jet 7027262 for my 67 GTO.
I been looking out for one with the blue date code disk for a while now. Most are going for crazy money or are 7027263's. You get a 6 point deduction for incorrect carb too so I am happy I finally found one for reasonable money |
