I'd rather have a 68 with a V8 but these are just cool.

US Steel Forestry used those around here. Firestone town and country mud grips. Manual trans and a 300 (301, 304, 307?) ci V8. Go anywhere.

That'd be a 304 David. LOTS of torque for it's size. Scouts are GREAT trucks.

Now that would change your plowing perspective Mr. Nixon.
Spray the underside with Ziebart so it would live to plow for decades to come? Never seen a short one like that.

That's the first Gen Scout. Awesome little trucks, I've got a couple Scout 2's waiting in the wings. Need They're pretty utilitarian but not much will go where they will.
I'll stick with the later model Chevies and Fords for the kill list. IH's need to be preserved

We had a 4 door one back when I was a kid, drove it through the woods like an atv since there wasn't such a thing back then. That and an old vw bug is where I learned to drive a standard.

694.1 no money for any toys right now. Flat broke. and besides I'd kill it for the body for my engineering scout.

Too bad they were such rustbuckets. I like them, but all of them here are hopeless.

Dad had one - I beleive the '68 with the 8. It was great in the snow and mud. Unfortunately rusted to hell. Sold it in the early '80's for $1500.

I love Scout's too Mike, but they are just as expensive or more to maintain. Parts are very hard to come by and the engines are underpowered for their weight. Buy one done is the message.

I bought an International to use for a parade vehicle. All original, I have a decent steel stepside bed with it too.
