Default 3.08 Posi $250 65-70 "P"10bolt/12bolt Bbody
Hey this guy had a nice complete 69 Bonneville 3.08 Posi (Safe-T-Track) rear end for sale for $250.. His Craiglist ad has expired and we had expected to buy it but can't right now. I saw pics of gears/posi date Nov of 68 with 40 13 tooth count. Call him 303-725-7348

with a 12 bolt chevy ring gear spacer but why bother its a minor ratio change. the 3.23-3.42-3.73-3.90-4.11 is same , 3.08-2.93-2.73 same, 2.56-2.41-2.29 same

Posted before, 3.23 thru 4.11 does not matter if it is posi or non posi. 3.23 will not bolt in on a 3.08 carrier. If you can find a Safe-T-Trac it is worth installing, it changes the non posi tire frying 2+2 into a hard leaving 2+2.

Any guess/idea how much it would cost to ship something like this to NJ?
I guess I could also ask if he would be willing to sell just the carrier & gears

A Chevelle type regular 12 bolt Chevy spacer should work fine. same pattern and diameter as Pontiac 8-7/8 12 bolt ring 10 bolt cover 65-70 P axle. Lots of odd swaps out there. a buddy used a GM 8.5 corp posi unit in his 70 Buick 8.2 BOP 3.08 axle (same bolt pattern on 8.2 and 8.5 ring and same 28 spline) but he had to use super thin side shims to fit it in.

12 bolt chevy spacer is too thick for a good fit. You need about .180 -.200 thickness shim to center the carrier.

Thnaks Monzaz, I really thought it should work but technically its not designed for this. 3.23 single track or 3.08 Posi??? Well just run the 3.08's man ! Not that big a difference
