Default Convertible Top

So after owning the ’65 for a week it's about time to enjoy some top down driving. The top is original and has a zip out rear window. On my Healeys the window is zipped out before lowering the top. Does the GTO work the same way? I know a really dumb question.

Its not a dumb question. My 65 catalina has not had the window unzipped since 1999 but the top is down about 85 % of the year. I have had many convertibles since 1968 and never unzipped the glass to put the top down.
