65 rocker and wheel well moldings
I am restoring a 65 GTO and the rocker moldings and wheel well moldings have seen better days. They are too dented and damaged to be able to restore them.
Has anyone tried the new rocker and wheel well moldings that are offered by Performance Years and AMES? If you have are they good quality and fit well? Or, would I be better off finding good used ones that just need cleaned up and polished? Thanks for the advice, Dale |

I used the repro wheel well mouldings on my '64. They fit just fine--very much like originals (which were dented)
Don't know about the rocker panel mouldings. I used the old ones and removed the dents and polished them myself.

For the 1964
I believe the rocker moldings are the same for both '64 and '65. The '64 rocker moldings have a slight flair at the front of the molding, just behind the wheel well molding. While I have never taken note of the repro rocker moldings, I have been told that the repro's do not have this flair. You may want to confirm. |

The '64 and '65 rocker moldings are identical. The problem with the reproduction is that they are just a little short.
