If Steve is asking the Parts Place to make the FH tag, can he also ask about an FI tag? I believe that is the correct tag for my 1972 Trans Am A/C, Auto, car.
Has anyone ever used the Parts place "Factory Style Original" Radiator (1970 - 1976 Firebird/TransAm) 4 CORE RADIATOR (AUTOMATIC) P/N - CS5385F? |

Greg is very meticulous... knowing this about him along with the detailed conversations I had with both Steve S and Jim, gave me great confidence that this was a project worth finishing.

Speaking of meticulous, the dust shields were upgraded to NOS from those replated ones seen in post #69 ![]() Also, post #69 shows a peak of the rear end when the car was black, which was the color it was when I purchased the car. It definitely looks better returned to Lucy blue like she's supposed to be.

The car is back on the chassis over at Steve's place. I'm making a road trip this weekend to pick up the motor from Jim Robertson and get it on up to Steve's along with some other parts. Looking forward to seeing the color in person!!

We're still pugging along on Lucy. The road trip in January got the engine up to Steve's shop. Boy, I couldn't have picked a more crummy, snowy, cold weekend to make that trip! Enjoyed a nice evening eating BBQ and hanging out at Jim Robertson's shop party in TX. Thanks for the great hospitality guys!
The transmission is ready to be mated up with the engine and overspray has been applied to the underside. Steve Gregori should have the correct brake booster to me soon and then things should really move into a higher gear.

In this pic it appears to have red oxide overspray on the edge of the wheel well by the frame. I guess it is probably not sprayed all the way on the wheel well primer? (would think the guy spraying the black was not really interested in keeping it off the frame rail) Mine had the black overspray on the frame, then some color overspray on it.

Man, those oversprays are awesome. Great work. The wheel well black out looks great too.
Keep the pics coming! Oh, and congratulations on getting some Texas BBQ at Jim Robertson's shop. The last time I visited, he had me help him haul cast iron heads all day long to their new machine shop location... But to be honest, he did feed us too

On a 70 I know the bracket that hold the black rubber bumper was on the car when it got painted and should have overspray on it.

the axle bump stops should be on there too. those where on before red oxide dip, they also had quite a bit of body color overspray. The wheel houses should show more blue then red oxide since the body was painted before the wheel house shutz
