Default IT ALIVE!!!!!

I just got my engine started today after almost three years. I attached a thread below to a couple of short videos.
It is a 69 428, bored 40 over, original 69 crank, heat treated 62 SD421 rods, 5cc AutoTec pistons, blocked decked to .001, 87cc Edelbrock heads shaved to 84cc (about 10.02CR), Edelbrock RPM Intake, 76 Pontiac Quadrajet 800cfm, Harland Sharp 6.5 roller rockers, Butler Performance pushrods, Lunati VooDoo 10510703 (old 60903) hyd cam, adv 268/276, @50 227/233, lift 538/554, Mallory 6Ai ignition, Mallory Unilite Dist.

It is going back into my 65 GTO and is getting mated to a Tremec 5 speed.

See what you think,
Dale

They are custom made. I think the primary tubes are 1 3/4", then they go into a 2" collector, then two 2 " pipes go into a 2 1/2" collector. They were on the car when I bought it so I have no idea who made them. I cleaned them up and ceramic coated them. I do know they make it a lot easier to put them on and there is plently of room to work around them and put the header bolts in. Heck, you can even remove the starter without having to drop the header. In the past, putting headers on a Pontiac was a complete nightmare. This are fairly simple.
I have no idea what they do to the performance, but if it causes the engine to lose a little power, it is worth it.

Thanks to everyone. I am very excited to get to drive it the first time. But unfortunately it will be quite a few months before it is back on the road. It is first getting body work and new paint, then a new interior.

I was really surprised how responsive it was. You just cracked the throttle and there was absolutely no lag.

Thanks, a lot of time and worrying went into picking the parts for the build and what to do. I was very happy with what I heard.
I haven't dyno'd the car yet because he does not have a stand dyno, only a chassis dyno. So I will have to wait until the car is completely done and back on the road before I can find out what it is really producing. The DeskTop Dyno program estimated 476HP and 573Tq. If the numbers are anywhere close to that I will be happy.
I was torn between this came or the bigger 904 cam. Listening to the car run I am glad I went with this one. This cam smoothed out around 1500 to 1600 and was completely smooth by 1800, which is great because with the 5 speed highway cruise will be a little over 1800. I am afraid the 904 would have still been too choppy at the RPM I would need for cruise speed.

Here is a picture of the engine and transmission before it was placed back in the car. I was surprised how easy putting the 5 speed in the car was.
