Default Cylinder head stand dimensions

Does anybody have a set of head stands that you could measure so I can make a set?

Make them for your needs, doing porting work compared to say cutting valve guide tops or dressing the upper Intake push rod holes will make for a need for different type stands.

I'm only going to be doing basic work such as removing the valve springs, changing rocker studs, ect.

Like this style?

2" X 8" X 1/4" steel plate
9/16" diameter round steel stock, 6-inches long
times 2

Or this style:

Wouldn't be that hard either probably.

Yup the first one, thank you, I couldn't see paying $50 for a pair when I could make them for $5-10

I have both and use both at work for different jobs. One set works better for some things and the other set works better for others. Just depends on whats being done.

So the round shaft is just 9/16" tapered down?

Yes.
The holes in head are for 1/2" bolts.
Probably anything bigger would work, as long as it tapered down so they would go in the head bolt holes.

I fabricated these stands for Pontiac heads. If you can weld, not very hard to make
