Default Fuel Pump Whats in ? Whats Out?

In the picture of the pump on my 66, which is the inlet from the tank? and which is out to the Carb.

I took it apart 5 yrs ago, and I can't remember. PLus I am adding the metal fuel line down from the carb and I will have to cut off the fitting on the line.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Terry

The fuel lines only hook up one way. Line from gas tank to the bottom of the pump. Carb to the top line on the side of the pump. You have them set up for just the opposite... which is not right.

Thanks, That is what I thought but wasn't sure. It is a lot easier to do the plumbing now with the body off and up on the lift.

By the looks of that pump I'd think about replacing it. It may still pump gas to the carb, but it may soon develop a gas leak into crankcase, diluting your oil and possibly costing you an engine.
