Nothing can reverse your aging more than driving an old GTO with ZZ Top, LedZep or Bad Co blasting from an 8-track tape player .

That was the real deal back when everything was still real .

I've been sifting ebay for a recorder, quite a few out there as well as brand new blank tapes. My mission is to do a few tapes with some brand new music no one would expect to come squealing out of the front speaker on my car when that 8 track snaps in there. Added bonus that the print shop at work will be able to make me some vinyl decals with band logos, song titles, etc to make it look like an actual store bought tape!

Funny about the roadkill comment, I remember that as a kid watching the scenery as we drove. You'd see that spaghetti storm of brown tape blowing around tied to that broken piece of red plastic!

I was actually referring to the other post where you or someone else had found, in a stash of old 8-tracks you bought, a few German bands...

Actually, I did get that...BUT, I was wowwing you with the irony that I actually DO listen to some German music! -- and to top that off, there's a GTO link as well: Rammstein was the band playing in the beginning of the movie XXX with Vin Diesel and the 67 GTO so I score twice!
