I was just spouting my weak impersonation of Gomer at work yesterday, hollering that phrase to my coworkers. They all looked at me like I was crazy...

Yeah, I need to do this to our 65. The look is better but I like having more people being able to see me coming.

I remember when JC Whitney sold a kit for your switch to make the park lights come on all the time. I think it was made to go into the dimmer switch from what I remember. It cost about $ 4.95 back then.

Did mine today on my "64 Grand Prix. Headlight switch is different on these, as anyone who's searched for one knows, it takes a #1995120 or #1995119 switch, which is the same one for a '63 Tempest. Anyways, that being said, on this car with either of those switches, you need to take the purple wire from #7 and put it in the empty #4 spot, not #3, it's already being used. This worked fine for me. Any other '64 GP owners find this to be the case also?

Terry,
Good for you figuring that out. You really should start a thread in the 62-66 Big Pontiac TECH forum documenting what you had to do. http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...play.php?f=428 Pictures would be nice also. Congratulations. Charles |
