Default Antenna Booster

Has anyone tried one of these boosters that go inline from the Antenna cable to the Radio? The reception for my 71 GTO with the windshield antenna is limited with a fair amount of station fading on the FM side and very limited reception in AM. I bought a radio to install in the glove box but I stumbled upon these boosters on Ebay. I would appreciate feedback from anyone that has tried them.

It will help with reception some for those windshield antennas. I used one years ago in my 79 Formula, and in the carhauler I drove. Both worked ok up in Northern NY and out on the road where reception was not the best under normal circumstances. But it wasn't a huge improvement. IIRC I bought boosters both at Radio Shack.

Tho in the end I did install a power antenna in the left rear quarter panel of the Formula. That was even better reception over the booster. But you can still use the booter with it.. again, it does help a bit. For a short time I had the adapter where you could hook up the 2 antennas to plug into the radio. When the winshield on the Formula cracked and was replaced, I went with a windshield with no antenna and only used the power antenna and booster.
