The wheels look to be in great condition from the photos. I'd leave them as is if you plan to sell (or run them on a car you drive regularly).
If you look for an orphan, shop carefully. There are many different versions of these wheels--webbed vs non-webbed, thin vs thick shank, clipped vs. snap on trim ring (grooves vs no grooves on the side of the spokes), as well as different bolt patterns.

They are pretty clean... a few small imperfections here and there but they may buff right out.
Good advice Gator: I knew there were different versions of Hurst wheels and bolt patterns but I didn’t realize there were so many variations. |

Could you (or anyone)possibly put up a picture of a correct lug nut? I have wheels and no lug nuts and am trying to figure out what I can use . Are they the same as the ET style that I see online? The correct look is not really important as long as it keeps the wheels on. Thanks Tim C |

New to the Hurst wheels but the lugs I was provided were chrome and have a medium length neck.
Pictures attached but Andre, RA II 4-speed or Gator may be able to comment further. |

Two Styles of Lug Nuts - All Chrome
My OEM Hurst lug nuts which are for the thin webbed wheels. Yours look to be for the thick web wheels.

That is the thick shank lug nut. Very difficult to find.. My recollection from reading is that the thick shank were the early wheels (over designed), and the thin shank followed in the later years. I have Bill Campbell's contact information somewhere. I'll see if I can find it, and ask him when they changed the production specs.

I have an extra set of NOS HURST wheel lug nuts, for thick shank wheels. I bought them many years ago from Pete Serio, they are flawless perfect. If interested PM me and we can discuss further.

Yes, they fit the 69 disc. They fit the 67-8 with a spacer. Maybe with grinding also, but I used a apacer for several years.

Is it necessary to remove the trim rings when mounting/dismounting tires?

I would say yes as the trim ring extends beyond the rim.
