Does anyone have a posi for 3.07 gears for a '67 Firebird?

I'd go with a new BOP (not the chevy version) Eaton 8.2 posi as it's rebuildable. The old OEM cone style posi wears out over time and can't be rebuilt.

I'll check with them, hopefully they make one for that gear.
Thanks, SD |

The posi carrier you need is the early 8.2 Pontiac mid ratio. Mid ratio is 2.93-3.08-3.23. Both Auburn & Eaton have produced a carrier for the early ('64-69) Pontiac 8.2 10 bolt.
Have pieced out quite a few 3.23 Safe-T-Track rears, & am currently out of used Safe-T-Track carriers, or would offer you one. Starting in late '69 (late '69 Birds), the Pontiac 8.2 10 bolt's ring gear bolt holes were opened up & along with the matching carriers accept 1/16" thicker lh thread ring gear bolts. Using a '70-72 Pontiac 8.2 10 bolt Safe-T-Track carrier with early Pontiac 8.2 gears, will need to make ten small bushings from thin wall brass tubing.
