Default 69 gto information

My grandfather restored the body and interior of his 69 gto a few years back. It doesn't have the original motor or transmission. The current motor has a lot of miles on it. My brother and I want to invest in a new motor and transmission. The original tran was a automatic 3 speed and the motor was a 400. I would personally like to upgrade it to a 455. He drives the car for enjoyment. No point in having a muscle car without the muscle. Any suggestions?Click image for larger version

I'd build It how you like it and drive the wheels off.
