Are you making fun of my artistic expressions? A picture is worth a thousand words and I type slow. So its the quickest way to get the point across. And they can be anything from funny to quite... well.. to the point.

Again, 325 with a 200 lb. driver. Again, no calculator but 3250 minus 200 would mean car weighs 3050. I don't believe a misprint. You see me and Ken go back further than he even knows. I've seen him in action.

I think it was a wording issue and should have been + driver. There is no way Ken's car is 3050 without a driver.

so by simple math, you now weigh over 300lbs at 5' something tall?? hmm, perhaps you need to be more concerned about those personal stats instead of your trash talking .. just tryin to help... those rodeos you speak of were a loong time ago. speaking of loong time ago... during our joint venture testing program with cv-1's, i asked you to: 1. replace your 2 speed with a th400 2. replace your hydraulic cam with a solid roller 3. install the FREE intake turtle i sent that had shown 25hp increase on the dyno ANY of these suggestions could have pushed a 10.015 car into the 9's,, IMO... but NONE were done the one that sealed the deal on my and keefers demise was #3.. which i pressured him on- 'if my car runs into the 9's, ill get tech'ed for it... upgrading the chassis costs $$ i dont have.. i think its better for us if i run the 6.50 index class" pdud said. i expressed my disappointment with that decision.. then, is when keefer came up with the big dog nitrous class race deal, and wanted my support... he had heard of how the race shop had sponsored robin a free set of heads... and keefer wanted the same.. he called me about it, i agreed to try to and get him sponsored too.. didnt work.. did my best to try and help my people,, but got blasted cuz it didnt work out.. another chapter in the book... done with all this |

WOW and never brought you or your products up. Jim. Now that you decide to slam. I never brought you up or your stuff in this post. You took the first swing!!!!!!!!!!! Here's my response. You can take it to the bank!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing that all I did was go from your 368cfm CV-1's to a set of 342cfm E-heads at a similar price range and picked up 3 tenths without even tuning on it. I feel low 9.60's were possible after the first time out and tuning. Different combo now but the point was proven. The CV-1 heads were low on velocity at rpms below 7000 rpm. I had GABY flow them and asked his opinion. But his wasn't the only same opinion. Period. But they were supposed to be a STREET HEAD. With a street type cam. They weren't a RACE head design at that time. 650 hp isn't a shabby number for a street/strip combo. So the Powerglide works with the Edelbrock heads with various hyd roller cams but not the CV-1's. Give me a phuckin break. You were told the port was TOO big and killed velocity. That's why no matter what I did they stonewalled at 10 flat with the combo. Same cam is in Jim Butchers 495 stock block combo and 320 cfm KRE D-PORT heads and running mid to 10.30's. at 3800 lbs plus. YOU NEVER SENT ME A TURTLE. I HAD TO TAKE THAT PHUCKED UP FIRST CASTING INTAKE AND PORT IT JUST TO GET IT TO FLOW LIKE YOUR LATER DESIGNED ONES. Miss matched ports, etc. The pics are up here in the for sale section, if ya research it. I replaced with 368cfm CV-1's from my 305 cfm E-head and picked up 3 tenths. But not Better then 342cfm SD Performance E-heads with std pushrod location at 9.78 first time out. Amazing how that glide didn't work. I could actually feel the pull difference on the shift. Racing for 40 plus years in all different cars and venues sorta gives you a "Feeling" and the ET slips showed it. Bwahahahahahahahaha Why would I want to install a solid roller that twists 1000 more rpm to abuse the engine (Seems a dude in the northeast turned the same time making the same hp at 7200 with 12 plus degrees more duration that I made at 6000 grand.) Hummmmm. So you can beat that dead horse all day long. I tried and spent thousands plus (well over 7 grand out of MY pocket), posted and pushed your heads, sent you many many customers, and trying to make those "STREET Heads" work. Then we decided to up the anti and just twist the phuck out of them and step up the the BID DOG drag radial class. Let's face it, the 342 cfm SD Performance Heads did what the CV-1's were supposed to do. I know you didn't want to take any constructive help from actual head porters that the head needed refinement. Woulda hurt you ego having others involved in the design process. I was just the FIRST show horse trying to help you with a new product. #2: Robin was never brought up. I don't even think he had a set back then ( He was running the Tiger heads) at that specific time. You even sent me the bottom half of a tunnel ram so I could fab a cast top to be legal in the class.... as 950 hp was beyond the design of your low rise single 4bbl intake. You are the one that hung me out to dry when I wanted to step up to the ALL out drag radial heads up class. We worked that VERBAL deal out over the phone before X-mas. Then in July of the following year is when you hung me out. After weeks and weeks of basically "It's in the mail". Didn't have anything to do with Robin, Race Shop or anyone. Spent around Ten grand on parts from Jan thru Feb waiting 8 months on a set of heads that ended up being so phuked up that they are only good for book ends. That's when you had your back against the wall believing the heads were good. I have a feeling you knew back in Feb or March of that year that the heads were FUBAR but strung me out anyway. As now you would have had to have another set ported with MY already bought valve train parts. Then told me after you decided not follow thru with a word of month agreement, more or less Tuff luck. Then had to go and buy a new top end to replace the CV-1 stuff I no longer had because I returned the original deal heads. Anyway. I guess what goes around comes around as I have moved on and Life is great. Go work on the CV-2's, 3's or 4's. I don't really give a phuck now. They are what they are. Period. Had to sit out quite a few years with the wife's Cancer deals (Twice in different locations) But........................... The Dude[/b} will be back in 2014. I was crewing for Ken back in 98/99 and we were running 9.40's on BFG's LEGAL then. The car went 8.90's around 05 and was LEGAL and passed tech. You can say what you want but Ken's never been afraid of qoing quicker, and the car was always legal to do it. |

Yes. David. Legal. Faster. My Avatar pic is from 2005. 8.90's Orlando World Street Nationals. Time slip below with BFG drag radials 3600lbs plus Just to show how hard it was back then to load up those tires. I came out on motor, with a progressive, hit it at .5 then 10% to 100% with 1.5 delay. 40 pills. So all finally in 2 seconds down the track. Hard freakin tire compared to the Pro Drag radial today.
