My cousin has an unrestored 1967 corvette conv, the one with the 427, 435 hp ,4 spd
He bought it maybe 30 years ago, It sets in his garage buried under junk so you can't even see it.
This thread is making me think I should try to buy it from him again, so that someday he won't have to burden anyone.

At the very least without saying where it is take a few photos magazines love those type of pictures barn finds etc....

I have bought a few barn finds one that was inhabited by a dozen cats talk about a odor that is difficult to remove after a dozen years or more....their pee removed chrome from the factory grand national wheels....

IMO;Jerry it sounds like to have an intuition that somethings going to happen.My experience, if deep down inside you feel you need to sell the Goat or sell - giveaway any other possessions do it now.
Better to use the money for things that really matter ..
It's only a car after all,+ you have memories of owning it that can't be taken away.

Another member here uses an old grocery store price gun to put price tags on each of his items so he can remember what he paid for them. Makes it easy for anyone going through the hoard to know what things are worth.

An alternative approach to keeping stuff around until you die, and then the family having to deal with hoarding issues that you leave behind (see the show Hoarders for a more in depth description of exactly what hoarding is) would be to start selling stuff now and feel the rush of rejuvenation to finally get rid of all that dead weight and have a fresh pile of cash and some fun along the way. You can buy the wife and kids some new stuff with all the extra cash while you're still alive, and when you die they will probably talk better about you.
