Default is there a list of parts Norwood makes?

Trying to find a list of the parts that Norwood reproduces.

I seem to recall a thread where he made, or was thinking of making, the fender braces to use newer fenders on the older cars.

Thanks!

Cool! I'm hoping he's made the inner fender brackets so I can use a later model fender on an earlier car. I tried making something myself but it's sloppy. It'll function, but if he has something nice I'd rather buy them...

......you will need photos and measurments if anything is not a stock set up...really these brackets are readily available from P.Y. and the like...any problem you send it back...you are best to communicate with Norwood directly regarding these braces...he has done a number of items for me and others and he will do what is best

Transam1972 I just looked at the PY catalog and didn't see them. I'm talking about the extra brackets on the lower part of 70-73 fenders, in the front, that have the holes to mount the lower valence. They were removed, I believe, in the 74 and up fenders. i've never seen them for sale but thought I saw a post that Norwood was making them.

CC- I remember seeing those brackets for sale many years back... haven't noticed them in a while though. I need some too.

...O.K. ...on that inner bracket on a 1970 to 1973 front fender for the valance mounting...if you use a repop of the 1972/73 poly valance those inner front brackets are not used...the valance secures to the front bumper and core support...if you are using a metal valance it is possible not to have those inner braces and use a few small sheet metal screws to secure that area of the valance to the front fender flange...as to Norwood reproducing that early style front fender bracket I do not know...here are some photos of the part I believe we are talking about...Click image for larger version

Have never ran across the lower early style fender brackets in repro form, have always removed them from early junker fenders.

Have also ran across & removed several early style lwr valance mtg brackets from original '74 model Bird fenders. The last '74 Bird I pulled the nose from, the rh fender had to also be a hold over from '73, while the drivers side was correct '74-75 style fender & did not have the early style lower bracket. Always check.

Yes that is the bracket. I actual do need one for the drivers side.

This seems like a part that would do pretty well in aftermarket. It would easily allow a lot more mix-and-match of fenders and years.

Do the repro fenders include this bracket?

This is good! Can you add more details on the differences between years?

I just happened to grab the drivers side. That is not the only one/side I have..if someone wants to reproduce these I have examples.. But, there are a bunch of bends. It will not be an easy part to hand make. has some really tight bends that would need to be welded in pieces, seems hard to economically repo without making a press form like I imagine they were originally made..

Default 70 TO 81 FENDERS

1973 AND LATER HAVE THE HOLES FOR THE BRACE AND THE UPPER INNER FENDER CHANGED SLIGHTLY..STILL LATER THE HINGE MOUNT LOST THE CAGE NUT DESIGN FOR U-CLIPS...ON THE LOWER FRONT OF THE FENDER (LIKE THE BRACKET YOU WERE INTRESTED IN) IS WHAT CHANGED THE MOST..THE UPPER BRACKET AT THE TOP OF THE FENDER REMAINED THE SAME..1970 TO 72 ARE THE MOST UNIQUE DESIGN AND THE LEAST AMOUNT MADE...OL PINION HEAD LISTED THE DIFFERANT YEARS GROUPED TOGTHER...1973 AND UP ARE THE BRACE DESIGN...1974 TO 1981 HAVE DIFFERANT LOWER BRACKETS...AND SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINE THE HINGE MOUNT CHANGED..THAT ABOUT COVERS IT...THE EXTERIOR FENDER WAS THE MOST CONSISTENT STAMPING....THIS WAS A N.O.S. 1977 & LATER FENDER GM STILL HAD IN THERE PARTS INVENTORY IN 1990...I REMOVED THE ORIGINAL LOWER BRACKET FROM MY 1972 FENDER AND POP RIVETED THE BRACKET YOU ARE INTRESTED IN TO THE NEW FENDER...THIS FENDER IS THE MOST COMMON DESIGN AND THIS VERSION (MINUS MY CHANGE) IS REPOPED

Ok. I must have one 73 fender as it has the caged nuts, lower bracket for the valance, but includes the holes for the core support brace.

The other must be 74+. It still has caged nuts, holes for the core support brace, but does not have the bracket for the valance.

Doesn't one year have some sort of vent/ribbed part that's a one-year only part?

Default FENDER DETAILS

yes, 1971 has the one year only fender vents...neat that your fender has the cage nuts...I regret not saving my original T/A fenders but at the time I saw no value and was trying to keep extra clutter down
