Air cleaner clearance ??
Any one got any tricks on how to figure out how much clearance you have for a air cleaner once the hood is on......besides throwing a midget with a flash light under there
 Brents running a performer rpm manifold and a quick fuel carb, anyone else running this combo on a 68 goat ? Getting down to crunch time, we need to get a air cleaner coming.  Bill |

I use a lightly wadded up piece of aluminum foil on what I think is the highest/tightest spot. Ease the hood down to crush the foil. Do not attempt to latch it, simply work your way down until you are convinced there is room (or not) to shut the hood. I run a P4B-qj with a 4" air cleaner with a 3/4" drop base. Clearance is 1/2" or just a fuzz more.
