I do and it was back in the late 60s. I worked at a gas station and while pumping gas check the oil, cleaned the windshield, and even checked air pressure in the tires if asked. All part of the job for a buck twenty five an hour.

Two Transmissions....two differentials too?..or some kind of a 4wd style arrangment? I'll bet the shifter linkage on that thing is a nightmare.

I was wondering if there was enough Pontiakers out there that have done what you've done, recreate a vintage promo photo?

I know I've seen a few pics over the years on this site and others where someone recreated an original ad or promo pic with their car. In fact, I seem to recall someone did a u-turn on Woodward in a 68 GTO to recreate the famous ad, but the signs and trees were different now. Still very cool though!

"...Take a close look and you will begin to appreciate some of the engineering problems Bob had to overcome to make his dream car actually streetworthy. The independent suspension is made up from modified Jaguar components with dual Girling coil shocks at each wheel. The twin M/T equipped Pontiacs total 800 cubes and drive the dual rearends through twin B&M stick hydros. The inboard swing axle universals are joined via torque tube to couple the Jag rearends. Each differential housing carries a pair of inboard Dunlop disc brakes, with two more up front..."
