It's coming along but I'm not going to bore anyone of pics of the same car over and over just because it's got a trunk lock on it now...lol

Looks great Greg! Been quite a journey but all coming together now.
Do you think your car might be ready for the May 2 Atl show? I am still planning to make it this time and hopefully my job won't get in the way that weekend. I wanted to get a new top for my car before then but been out of town on business every week for the past month. Crossing my fingers and hoping for dry weather this year... Having watched through the whole process I really want a first-hand look!

Thanks!
I was planning on making it there with the car...but I don't know. I really would like to get the interior done and I don't even have it yet! I pretty much have the outside done. Bumper is on, lights all work, trunk is clean ,etc. I have a job interview coming up this month too...so I dunno what's going to happen there either. This month is flying by!

Yes, it was MM originally. One of my least favorite colors.

Thanks GW. It is still coming along but I'm being held up waiting for some interior parts. I'm realizing in light of the new paint that some of the parts I was going to re-use just aren't any longer up to snuff.

So, what's an interior part hold up got to do with the back bumper or marker lights....LETS GO! (as I sit here typing on the computer ignoring the rustpile in the garage....Hey, sue me, I'm in a bad mood because it's F'ing SNOWING outside right now and it was 70 two days ago for the first time in like 20 years around here!)

Chill Dennis...with all that snow, shouldn't be a problem.....lol....Ok, all that stuff is done as far as the bumper, marker lamps, etc....Pretty much everything except the interior.
It's heavy pollen season down here so I'm just waiting for it to calm down some before I wash it and get it out for more pics. You don't know what pollen is until you've lived in the Georgia woods in spring. Everything is yellowish green right now. Any soft gust of wind causes big clouds of it to blow out of the pines.

That color combo is sharp Greg! Looking good man! I do remember reading a thread when you were patching the holes in your roof. I certainly admire your patience and abilities to repair that rust. I would probably had given up!

Thanks John. If I had it to do over again, I'd do a few things differently but this car was definitely a learning experience for me and I'm still pretty happy with the results.

You haven't lived until you've been through an afternoon of pollen clouds.

Yeah, and if that's the criteria, I've lived several lifetimes just this season.

We were lucky this year, the pollen dropped at once and then rain quickly washed it away. Some years it goes on for weeks and weeks.
My garaged cars stay covered with the doors closed during pollen season. My truck and van stay outside so need to be detailed afterward. How does so much pollen get inside even with the windows up?

Last year was the worst in recent memory. It gets everywhere.
My '68 has been in the garage every day since it started and it will still need a good wash.

Thanks MG!
Maybe I'll get it out and post some pics with the bumper in place this weekend. It LOOKS fairly complete now but interior is still lacking. Significant work left to do in that department.
