Default '80s Muscle

This was the fastest car in my hometown back in the early '80s. Ran a 400 smallblock and a 4-speed. Sporting the popular blacked out rear end and Cragars. Cool old school stuff (for my age bracket anyway).

Christmas 1968. It was a good time to be a little kid. Totally oblivious to the racial tensions and Vietnam, etc of the day. My first Hot Wheels, still have most of my toys from childhood.
At the time, I thought the '68 GTO was the most beautiful car ever made. Still love them too and it is still one of the best cars ever made.

I got the same red roadster for Christmas I think in 1967 and I still have it.

So I take it that you've never seen Slapshot? If not, I highly recommend it!

Me and my sister in early 1965, let's see, my dad had a 58 Tri Power pontiac and traded it in on this 60 3sp 389 Tri Power Ventura. In December 65 he traded in this perfectly good 60 Pontiac on a brand new 65 Burgandy, red interior 4sp Tri Power GTO. My mom was pissed, to say the least. (I still have the GTO)

Nice looking photo and cool you still have the car. My parents weren't great about taking pics and all the ones I have from the early '70s have that greenish Polaroid look to them.

One of those signs would be so cool in my basement or garage.

There was an 60 identical to that one at last week's BOP show here last week. Poor photo taken with an I-pad...
PS- Looks like you've been "off roading" on that trike...lol

Was the pic taken in Ireland?

Looks like, l to r, Scott Gorham, Phil Lynott, Brian Robertson, and Brian Downey. This was Thin Lizzy from mid '74 and for the most part thru mid '78.

So the TA had a few years on it when this pic would have been taken.

Wonder if Lynott (or another member) actually owned it or was it just a photo prop?

Would be cool if one of them actually owned it and it still exists, perhaps in Ireland.

I agree Greg. Thin Lizzy was good and jail break was a great record.
