Linden Green? I've seen a GTO in this color. Purdy!

Are we sure that's a mannequin , and not a dude dressed up as a chick ?
Looks like a dude dressed as a chick , killing the curb appeal with a bad vibe . IMO

The 67 is Linden Green , or at least a modernized rendition of it.

The 68 K-color-code Bird listed earlier is Way Off on the color

69 Firebird in Kansas at $15.5K BIN OBO. Depends on the body, but I don't think this car is worth much more than $10K. NOM 350 and a 4-speed, it needs a lot. If the body is mint then it changes things... floors look good, so maybe?

I would not buy this without looking at it. Too many inconsistencies; goes from a 350 to a 455HO? Or am I the one who's nuts or off in the boonies?

68 Firebird convertible in Michigan at $10K NR. Nice car and the building in the back really kicks it up a notch. A lot of time these cars are photographed in front of million dollar homes and it works.

I pinged the guy with the Firebird listed above. It has a "YE" 455 engine (listed as a 454) with round port heads, which makes it a 71 or 72. He really needs to relist this, cause that engine is cooler than the car.

Is there pics of the heads on the listing?

YE is also a 350 cid in 1969?

Yeah, head pics would be good.

That engine does look like a hodge podge...it seems to have the post 69 accessory drive where the the alternator mounts to the newer 70+ upper head boss but looks like 69 upper alternator straps. The engine color is certainly 70 or older metallic but that's just paint. Is that a Winters foundry mark on the manifold just to the left of the rad hose as it exists the water neck?

Interesting. How much did the convertible sell for and was it restorable? I couldn’t anything clearly on the thumbnail pic.

Buck, right click on the thumbnail and open it in a new tab.

EDIT: Forget that, I forgot PY cuts resolution a bunch.

Try this: LeMans on ebay

Thanks John.
I definitely remember a discussion on here when it was on eBay.
The Rosewood color made it unforgettable , although that is probably the only thing I am remembering correctly.

NO Motor in the URL header must have been slang for Numbers Motor.

I hope whoever has the Vert now can catch wind of this Bird somehow

It turns to fuzz when I expand it also.
Can't make out anything really , but I'm using a tablet now.

I was thinking it went for under 10k back then
and could be wrong now

YE was used often on different engines, apart from the 455 HO mentioned it was also used on the 69 Firebird 350 2bbl with auto trans and not to mention 65-66 389 big car 4bbl 389, 67 big car 400 and 73 regular 455 engine. Likely this car probably has its original 350 with some top end changes and a 4speed swap. But you never know.

Pics he sent me. Even has the SN. I just assumed these were round ports. I'm not familiar with the round port heads on the 71-72. Anyone know based on these pics?

1971 serial number out of the home plant so it’s probably out of a 71 HO auto trans GTO. The second pic sure looks like the center ports area of a round port engine too!

496xxx EUN probably translates to summer 71 casting date given the lowish production that model year (586k including sixes and Ventura 307 chebbies) but the VIN sequence is perhaps more indicative of earlier assembly. Could home plant production really be just half of say 68-69 numbers?
