1961 Pontiac Catalina convertible dealer car at $28K OBO in CO. No pics with the top down? Interior is crappy. If this is your idea of cool, which I really do with the 8 lugs, then that's a lot of car for $28K.

I think cars like this one signal a downward trend, which isn't what I would expect right now with new cars being insanely high. 96 Trans AM in green/tan with 70K miles for $13K BIN in Florida. Seems low for this car to me. Has the following:
LT1 5.7 V8 engine with mild cam, roller rockers, aluminum heads, custom CAT delete exhaust, cold air intake, headers, MSD plug wires, Iridium spark plugs. Hand built transmission by S&P Auto of Bend, Oregon -- 4L60E. Front suspension includes Hotchkis strut brace. Rear suspension includes Hotchkis adjustable panhard bar and sway bar. Lowered on coilovers all around. Custom LED exterior lights. Pioneer stereo head with Polk speakers. Power stop aftermarket brakes. Tires replaced last year. Runs and drives well, paint is shiny in some areas, fading with cracks or swirls in others. https://www.ebay.com/itm/13442504308...Bk9SR4bwsbW9YQ |

68 Firebird with a 428 and badges O'plenty to prove it at far too high $100K in Wisconsin. What impresses me most about this car is the interior. That's what a steering wheel should look like and it's pretty. Heads look like they're aluminum or Chevy, but it's not stock 428 heads?

Pretty clever painting a big block Chevy Pontiac blue. I haven't seen that before, but I've seen plenty of Pontiacs painted Chevy Orange. Tacking on the Royal Bobcat and Buick stickers to further throw people off was a nice touch.

also moving the alternator over to the pontiac side. then they snuck in the big block camero heater core/box and covered up the pontiac location.

From shopping 4th gens over the last couple years I've noticed automatics, specifically LT1 autos, don't pull nearly the same money as a 6 speed. Low milage stock 6-speeds have the most value with WS6 and SLP cars at the top of the heap. With the mods, miles, not being a WS6, and the exterior wear and tear and I'd say the price seems about right.

It's been for sale by Napoli for years. First time I saw it for sale, the ask was $1.2 million if I recall correctly.
I had the bizarre experience of meeting the previous owner back around 2000, 2001. He had a GMC Palm Beach and stopped at the GMC shop I was working at that time. Got talking and he also owned a 68 Firebird Sprint convertible that he pulled on a trailer with the GMC. I'd mentioned having a 69 Sprint convert. I think he'd had that combo at a couple POCI meets, I know I'd seen it at least once. Anyway, he mentions this Banshee was in the showroom at his Pontiac dealership in Coldwater MI with about 1,500 miles on it. I think his FIL had acquired it somehow. |

This is an interesting car (to me anyway) 63 Pontiac Catalina dealer car in NC at $5K with a reserve. The look of these cars with the rear windows rolled down and 8 lugs is pretty cool.

Good thing it'll take all of 2 minutes to gently unlatch those abominable aftermarket fender skirts and heave them straight into the garbage can. Why folk insist on putting non-compatible skirts on cars who were never intended to wear them, esp. on a sporty red Cat hardtop with 8-lugs...... I have to assume meth was involved.

67 Lemans restomod at $20K with a reserve in Illinois. This car has so much time in it as the attention to detain is nice work. It would be easy to lose the "SONY" advertising and it would make it look less cheesy.

69 Firebird Trans AM "tribute" dealer car in Illinois at $63K BIN. It's a nice enough car, but if a real one is $120K I don't think two of these is worth a real one. My pet peeve is glaring on this car. It has a 455 with 96 heads, but has a RAM AIR IV stickers on the hood. You could put 426 Hemi stickers on it and it would be the same to me because it's not a RAVIV or 426. Anyway, 4 speed and stock inside it's a nice looking car.

78 Firebird 4-speed with 41K at $20K in NY. When they make movies and need period correct cars to film, this one would be perfect.

Interesting car, 305 SBC with a Saginaw 4-speed, Gauges with a clock, manual steering, no A/C, AF/FM Stereo. Base interior. Can't get much more original! It still has the Spiral shocks & bead CC.
Never did car for WW tires and Rally rims, but thats easy to fix. Interesting on what it sells for? It will probably end up with a LS Motor in it, as I am sure with the around 130 stock HP it is a leasurly drive even with the manual trans.
